In radiation accidents, personal dosimetry for the public is an important issue. Radiation protection and accurate dose calculation for the public, workers and patients are of great concern. Different techniques are used for those purposes. TLD is one of the important tools used for personal dosimetry; however accurate conversion factor between the TLD readings to ambient dose should be determined. The procedure of that calibration is the determination of the standard dose for reference beam 137Cs in terms of absorbed dose in Gy.
