KAWAUCHI VILLAGE
This video was prepared in 2015 at the occasion of the Dialogue meeting that took place in the village in October 2016. It presents what happened after the Earthquake and during the following years: the evacuation of the population, the decontamination process and the first returns of the evacuees in March 2012.
This video was filmed in 2020 and looks at the relationship between the Kawauchi Community and the University of Nagasaki, which has accompanied the recovery process since the accident. It illustrates the role of cooperation between experts, local authorities and residents to gradually regain control of the radiological situation.
